Today, Sons of A Tradesman released their debut album, “Stir The Pot”, which feels more like a reawakening of Rock n’ Roll. The album offers an experience bridging together hard rock riffs and chilling vocals.

Titled Stir The Pot, Sons of A Tradesman’s debut album is based on a concept storyline developed by their late bassist Nicholas Polycarpo and tells the story of four brothers fighting for a coveted throne – a tale that Polycarpo intended on transforming into a novel before he passed away.

Stir The Pot is a musical masterpiece created by the band to honour their fallen brother Nicholas Polycarpo, and we can see how the album plays out into something magical that reminds you of what old rock n’ roll is all about.

Listening to the debut album, you’re thrown back in a pre-eighties vibe that transcends time itself. Tracks like “On the Moon”, “The Bandit” and “The Vigilante,” are some of the best tracks Stir The Pot has to offer.

The band’s hard rock riffs and chilling vocals are the main attraction in this debut album as they set the tone for the story, which is intertwined in the tracklist. The amazing guitar and drum sounds that rip through your ears are something you can’t forget. Stir The Pot isn’t for the faint-hearted.

After releasing the first two singles “The Bandit” and “The Vigilante,” Sons of A Tradesman have outdone themselves in this debut album which is a living testament in honour of their fallen brother, as they unveil the full collection of self-recorded, produced, and mixed tracks.

Sons of A Tradesman are said to be paving their own path to greatness and want to become the next rock n’ roll staples. Though drawing inspiration from their heroes, the band also wants to maintain a unique sound which all comes down to their masterful musicianship and fervent passion for hard rock.

“Someone once told us that ‘instead of trying to pay tribute to your heroes, try to start making them look bad,’ meaning that instead of trying to emulate sounds that have been done before, try to make something new and completely different.” – SONS OF A TRADESMAN

Bands History

The band that formed in 2017 with frontman Andrew Alonso, drummer Chris Santiago, bassist Nicholas Polycarpo, and guitarist PJ Saiani reigns from West Palm Beach, and are staging themselves for glory and fame as they look forward to becoming the next biggest rock n’ roll band blaring in your surround sound speakers.

The band started playing live cover shows and writing original music. After about a year PJ left the band and was replaced by guitarist Mike Guido, formerly of the West Palm Beach band Raggy Monster.

In the summer of 2019, the band started recording their debut album, however, the untimely death of the bassist Nicholas Polycarpo halted the album production and left the band wondering what their fate would entail. After some time of grieving they decided that, in honour of their brother, they would continue the legacy and finish what they started.

With the addition of bassist Marvin Hawkins, founding member and creative genius of Coffin Varnish, the band pressed forward and completed what would be their debut album “Stir the Pot,” a themed album about four brothers competing for their family’s wealth and heir to the throne.

The band’s musical style is one-of-a-kind, with each member bringing a unique style to the table. Andrew derives his style and attitude from good ol’ boy outlaw country. His biggest influences are Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard. However, his voice carries the tone of Robert Plant, Brian Johnson, and Steven Tyler. He also has classical opera training.

Chris draws inspiration from John Bonham and Dave Grohl. Mike is a self-taught blues-rock guitarist drawing influences from the greats such as Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, and John Frusciante.

Marvin draws inspiration from progressive styles of bass ala Les Claypool. All together they seamlessly meld into Sons of a Tradesman – a melting pot of vivacious, high energy, in-your-face, good ole rock ‘n’ roll.
