The Uganda Premier League returns today with four fixtures with four more fixtures to be played tomorrow, in this particular article, we will focus on today’s fixtures:
Wakiso Giants FC vs Busoga United FC
Wakiso Giants interim Head Coach, Steven Bengo will return to the touchline at home at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in a tricky fixture against Busoga United.
The Purple Sharks will be looking to overturn their run of poor form which has seen them lose against Express and Vipers in the past two fixtures.
Busoga United also find themselves in the same boat as their hosts and opponents having also lost two consecutive games against Vipers and a shock defeat against Kyetume F.C.
Fans should expect to watch an end to end game since both sides play end to end football. The Purple Sharks will look at winger Viane Ssekajugo to inspire them past Busoga United while Busoga looks up to Joel Madondo who has been called up for national duties.
Bright Stars FC vs SC Villa
Bright Stars will be hosting in form SC Villa. Bright Stars have been a complete shadow of themselves since they lost Coach Fred Kajoba and skipper Nelson Senkatuka. They have won once this season against Onduparaka and struggle to find the back of the net with their game on match day 12 ending in a goalless draw.
On the other hand, SC Villa continue to improve with each game they play. The Jogoos may be short of of a prolific goal scorer but their nice play in the final third has enabled the midfielders and wingers to lace up their boots and provide the goals.
Their current top scorer Ambrose Kirya has 5 goals and he will be looking at racking up more today. Any result rather than a win for the Jogoos will be a disappointing result for them and their fans.
