The English Premier League this season has been awash with all sorts of talent and players who have been busting the nets open with tap ins, penalties and thunderbolt goals for various clubs.
For most teams in the EPL, it is very important to have strikers that can score for you as many goals in a game as possible because that is how you can counter the opposition and hope that your defence can win you the game.
We have seen some really amazing strikers in the English Premier League this season and I will break down my top 10 outstanding strikers for the season.
10. Jamie Vardy
For a player of his calibre, Jamie Vardy had a very slow start to the season which was also compounded with the uncertainty at the club in regards to management.
The player, however, managed to score 18 goals for the Foxes and finished with 4 assists as Leicester City continued with their run in finishing mid of the table after Brendan Rogers took over management of the club.

9. Callum Wilson
Bournemouth battled against relegation in the previous season and for the most part, they had to depend on Wilson who also had many injury setbacks that limited his playing time. However, when he would return, the striker made it a point to score as many goals before another injury came knocking his way.
The striker managed to contribute to over 23 goals for Bournemouth which were very important for the club helping them to finish 14th in the league and avoiding relegation. He managed to score 14 goals and had 9 assists.

8. Heung Min- Son
The South Korean striker has been a revelation for Tottenham Hotspurs this season in the absence of English partner Harry Kane.
For some parts of the season, Kane has been missing with the different injuries that rocked him and kept him out of the team for most parts of the season.
Son scored over 12 goals and had 6 assists to help Spurs maintain the top 4 position and guided them to the first ever UEFA Champions League final.

7. Pierre Emerik Aubameyang
This is the first time that Arsenal has had a striker scoring 20 goals and above ever since Robin Van Persie left the Gunners to go and join Manchester United.
The Gabon international managed to score 22 goals finishing joint top scorer alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to win the EPL golden boot. He also topped that up with 5 assists.
His goals were however not enough to help Arsenal to finish in the Champions League places at the end of the day. Arsenal will hope that he will add onto this tally in the coming season and help them get back into the UCL places.

6. Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian has enjoyed a bit of a cold and hot season. He started off the season cold to which many critics started labeling him a one season wonder. The forward, however found his footing and has been a revelation for Liverpool as they pushed Manchester City to the very end of the season.
Salah scored 22 goals winning the golden boot alongside team-mate Sadio Mane and Aubameyang with 7 assists. The previous season, he finished it with 30 goals but couldn’t match the fit this season.
If Liverpool is to win the English Premier League this season, Salah will need to be at the top of his game and scoring from all cylinders.

5. Raul Jimenez
Jimenez has been popular amongst the Fantasy football fans and managed to win most of the managers who had him in their team great points. But at the end of the day, it was Wolves who benefited more from him.
His goals have been of great importance as Wolves were the only side to give all the top 6 teams a rough patch picking up some wins and some great draws.
The player scored 13 goals and had 7 assists as Wolves managed to finish the season in 7th position just behind 6th placed Manchester United.

4. Eden Hazard
In the absence of a true striker that can actually deliver the goals for the Blues, Eden Hazard found himself with the responsibility of having to carry the team all on his shoulders and the Belgian did deliver.
While manager Mauricio Sarri found himself failing to get the goals from Olivier Giroud, Gonzalo Higuain, among others, Hazard produced the magic.
Hazard scored over 16 goals and finished with the highest assists in the league with 15. That is a total of 31 goals contribute to the blues who finished the season by getting back into the UEFA Champions League.

3. Raheem Sterling
What a season the English international has had with Manchester City. From being the most improved player, in many cases, he proved to be the most important for the Citizens as well.
Sterling helped Manchester City to win the English Premier after a scintillating season. The English international scored 17 goals and had 10 assists to back the goals up.
The build-up to most of the goals that Manchester City scored, he was also involved and this is the kind of impact that City needed from their forward attacking players.

2. Sadio Mane
In the absence Mo Salah who was injured and struggled with form, Senegalese international managed to keep Liverpool in the running as they chased down on Manchester City before eventually falling short at the end of the season.
Sadio Mane was the stand out player in this Reds side as Firminho struggled with injuries while Salah continued to struggle with both injuries and form.
He finished the season scoring 22 goals with just 4 assists in the whole campaign. Alongside Salah and Aubameyang, he walked away with a golden boot too.

1. Sergio Kun Aguero
He may not have finished the season as the top scorer but Aguero was absolutely important for Manchester City as they rallied on to win the English Premier League this just-concluded campaign.
Aguero’s 21 goals and 8 assists proved to be just about what the CItizens needed to clinch the title. He also added to this by being able to hold play upfront whenever the team needed him to and with his bullying of defenders, he just was the difference.
This season the Argentine was hampered by injuries but that didn’t stop him from ensuring that he helped City to win the title.

Honourable mentions will go to Rondon 11 goals and 7 assists, Harry Kane 17 goals and 4 assists, Alexander Lacazette 13 goals and 8 assists, Glen Murray with 13 goals and 1 assist, Pogba 13 goals and 9 assists
