In light of the poor season Real Madrid had in 2018/19, the Galacticos have gone on to make a wish list of players that they like to see join the team so that they can be able to win the title next season.
With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the goals at Santiago Bernabeu have been scarce this season with only Benzema scoring 21 goals and managing only 6 assists the entire season.
Having brought back one of their most iconic and successful managers Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid looked to bringing in fresh faces to try and change things at the club.
The signing of Luka Jovic is probably one those moves that the club needed because he is a young player just 23 years of age. The Serbian has been very lethal for Eintracht Frankfurt.
In the 32 league games he played, he managed to score 17 goals and 5 assists which is a total of 22 goals while in the UEFA Europa League, in 14 games he scored 10 goals.
For a young player of his calibre to manage to contribute to 22 goals in one of the top leagues in European football, that is a big number and this can be good for Real Madrid because Bundesliga and La Liga are all built on the technique of the game and not speed and physicality.
To make things even better for the Serbian, he will be playing alongside one of the best midfielders in Europe, Eden Hazard who managed 16 goals and 15 assists while with Chelsea.
Hazard alongside Toni Kroos could make a good tag team that will see Jovic receiving so much support from the midfield in terms of creativity easing on his work which means that his focus will be on scoring goals.
Jovic should he be given more playing time, will blossom in that Real Madrid jersey and could help to reduce on the goal burden that was left behind by Cristiano Ronaldo.
He is a fast player which will blend well with Zidane’s fast break kind of play but also, he is strong in the air an ability that seems to slowly be diminishing from Benzema. He is also very strong physically and should be an added advantage as faces off with some of the best players.
The Serbian international is lethal both in the box and out of the box, this is a strong attribute for teams that tend to be very good in defence. His ability to use both feet will be an added advantage too.
He has very good movement in the box and his position for a player of his age is pretty mature.
