With the physical demands of football, there is a massive need for the players to be well conditioned to be able to play at the very top level. With that in mind, today, Uganda’s most successful football club SC Villa has announced a 3 year deal that will see them working with Ultimate Fitness Kampala.
The announcement was made at the Ultimate Fitness base in Bugolobi Design Hub where the club executive and a few invited players got an opportunity to see the facility in its entirety.
Club Spokesperson Mr. Bernard Olupot stated that on days when the players will be in the facility, it will be closed off from the public to allow the players to fully focus on training and fine tuning their bodies.
Paul Kaliisa the COF of Ultimate Fitness Kampala says that “We were drawn to a partnership with SC Villa because it’s a community based club and they too as a fitness company are about working with the community.”
“Footballers in Uganda don’t pay much attention to their body types and this affects their training and fitness routines, therefore their performance on the pitch. We are going to remodel and reshape Villa footballers’ fitness routines. We shall approach it from a personal yet professional angle.” He continued
“Building on their shared values, Ultimate Fitness Kampala and SC Villa will create innovative experiences for SC Villa members, fans, supporters and partners in Uganda, as well as making meaningful contributions to the local communities in which they both operate. Working closely with Villa Players, managers, coaches and health professionals, Ultimate Fitness Kampala will also create unique packages and relevant content that will help support the shared goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle, delivering on the UFK brand purpose of empowering people to live a better life.” Said a club statement.

Together we’ll work towards bringing to life really special experiences for our members and fans”
Coach Edward Kaziba was very ecstatic about the development saying “I am happy that our team can now conduct professional training in a well-structured gym and experts. This is an important piece of the puzzle for us. ”
The training facility is equipped with a sauna, steaming room, massaging room and a physiotherapy room as well. These will be accessible to the club. The muscle strengthening equipment is also available and all the state of the art gym equipment to ensure that the players are well fit to take on the season.
