Express FC popularly known as Mukwano Gwa Bangi in Uganda has signed a deal with kit manufacturer Umbro that will see the club have a professional kit maker for the first time.
The Red Eagles who are one of the most followed clubs in the Uganda Premier League and Ugandan football at large have been having discussions with various kit makers to decide on who will be supplying the team.
It comes at such a time when the demand for football clubs in Ugandan football to professionalize has been echoed by both the fans and the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA).
“The development follows a series of consultations done to decide on which kit manufacturer was best suited for the club but it’s now confirmed that the Red Eagles will don the Umbro kit.” According to the Club’s website.
Express FC CEO Mr. Isaac Mwesigwa explained that Umbro will supply the home, away, third kit, camping kit as well as the training kit, tracksuits, warm-up kit, and fans replicas.

“I urge all the fans to be patient as regards to when the kit launch and replica sales will happen because all that will be communicated in due course”. Said Mr. Mwesigwa when asked on when the replica jerseys will be available for the fans to purchase.
This will be the first time in the club’s history that the Express will don on a renowned kit manufacturer. Umbro is a leading kit manufacturer with numerous club partnerships with several clubs across the world including Everton FC and Westham United in the Premier League.
Express stated that they are on the road to take the club back to its former glory and with all the major signings in the transfer window, the club certainly needed to make a decision on certain elements regarding player dressings.
