President Donald Trump and a host of his Republican supporters have rejected the results that indicate that Joe Biden has won the US elections.
Trump has made repeated claims of electoral fraud without providing evidence, and his campaign has pledged to challenge the result in some battleground states. And he has accused Joe Biden of rushing to announce himself as the winner of the elections. “rushing to falsely pose as the winner” he said
Donald Trump’s Speech After Biden was Projected as Winner of US Elections
“We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor. In Pennsylvania, for example, our legal observers were not permitted meaningful access to watch the counting process. Legal votes decide who is president, not the news media.
“Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated. The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election. It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters. Only a party engaged in wrongdoing would unlawfully keep observers out of the count room – and then fight in court to block their access.
“So what is Biden hiding? I will not rest until the American People have the honest vote count they deserve and that Democracy demands.”
President Trump has also indicated in a tweet that his observers were not allowed to enter the rooms in which votes were being counted.
What Donald Trump’s Supporters Have Said about the Elections
One Trump supporter, 48-year-old Dora Ellis, said the president has done a lot to support peace in the world. “Biden voted for every single bombing and every single war. He’s a hawk,” she said.
“Can [Trump] be rude? Yes, he’s not always diplomatic. But is he racist or [a] xenophobe? Absolutely not.”
Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani held a news conference just outside of Philadelphia to explain the campaign’s ongoing litigation efforts. US media outlets made their Biden win projections just before Giuliani was set to speak.
“It’s not done yet,” Daren Suter, a Pennsylvania Trump supporter who attended the news conference.
“Investigations are going to have to take place. There’s too many examples of tampering with the ballots, that kind of stuff, in Philly especially. And Trump knew all this; Trump knew this was going to happen.”
With that said, there are anticipated protests from the Republican supporters who are demanding that the votes are challenged and for some states that the votes are recounted.
Whether their pleas will be heard or not, is entirely a different thing all together as for now, Democrat supporters and those who voted for Joe Biden are waiting for the 20th of January when the 78 year old will be sworn into the office of the presidency.
The Trump Campaign team has already had several legal complaints thrown out of court for lack of evidence to support their accusations of voter fraud in the elections.
The President however insists that they will push through with legal actions and that they have evidence to support their claims.
