Democrat Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States of America. The former vice president who was running against incumbent Donald Trump accumulated more than the required 270 electoral votes when he got 284 votes.
Biden, who turns 78 at the end of this month, will become the oldest president when he is inaugurated in January in the midst of the worst public health crisis in 100 years, the deepest economic slump since the 1930s and a national reckoning on racism and police brutality that is still unresolved.
President Donald Trump will join the likes of George W Bush Snr, Jimmy Carter, William Howard who served only one term as the president of the United States of America.

Earlier in the elections, President Donald Trump had held on to a staggering lead at Pennsylvania which happens to be Joe Biden’s boyhood state. With the walk-in votes were done counting, it was Trump who was leading but its with the mail-in votes that Biden found a silver lining and it was it that helped him to cross the 270 mark after states like Georgia had been overturned all thanks to the mail-in votes as well.
As the projections kept indicating that Joe Biden would become the next president of USA, president Donald Trump took to twitter to lament oh how there were sudden changes in states that he believed he had won.
On several occasions, President Trump was tweeting stating that all Vote counts should be stopped something that was viewed as the president trying to undermine the democracy of the country.”STOP THE COUNT” He tweeted.
Kamala Harris will become the first female vice president of the United States of America after her and Joe Biden won the elections.

The two have spoken about fighting racial injustice, criminal injustice, unifying the country, the image of the nation to the rest of the world, fighting the COVID19 pandemic which has seen the country lose so many people and rejoining the Climate Change movement as well as providing affordable medical care.
