Nobody Feels Like Another Action Packed ‘John Wick’ Replica | Spurzine

Nobody Feels Like Another John Wick On Steroids

Universal Pictures took it upon itself to remould or more so revamp our one and only Breaking Bad criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, real name Bob Robert Odenkirk, from a comedy screenwriter into an accomplished badass action hero in Nobody.

For those of you that don’t know Bob, he starred in the Breaking Bad series as Lawyer Saul Goodman, and movies like, “Dealing with Idiots” and “Little Women”.

In his upcoming movie “Nobody”, Bob plays the role of Hutch Mansell, a suburban dad and husband whose family is targeted by a villain named Carnegie (played by Alexey Serebryakov).

When two thieves break into his house, he chooses to “not indulge”, he doesn’t defend his family. Basically, he chickens out (for dignity’s sake, I guess). And for that, his neighbours and family see him as a nobody. But when his neighbour experiences a similar encounter, Hutch seizes this chance at redemption.

This time around, for dignity’s sake, Hutch embarks on a path of brutal retaliation, and he kills them, in a “never underrate a nobody” kind of style. Or, to be succinct, a John Wick style.

Nobody is like one of those kickass action movies, let’s say, a replica of John Wick and Atomic Blonde considering it has both those movies’ producers, David Leitch and Kelly McCormick on its producing crew. Not to mention, Derek Kolstad, John Wick’s scriptwriter, being an Executive Producer.

Odenkirk trained for 2 years before the filming of No Body

One can only wonder what sort of ass-kicking punches, blows and hits they can contain when the movie is finally out on screens. In an interview with IGN Odenkirk said:

“I trained for two years before we started shooting. I knew I had a long way to go. I was a comedy writer for 25-years so, I didn’t exercise for most of my life. We weren’t trying to develop a superhero body. I look like a dad. I look like a regular guy. Maybe I eat fewer hamburgers than you, but I still eat hamburgers. I said, when this guy gets hit, I want that pain to linger. So many times people get punched and they shake it off and they’re fine. I wanted him to feel all the impact of the fighting and violence.”

For someone that’s trained for two whole years before filming even started, the action, the adrenaline rush that comes with it, it’s INTENSE and VIVID. Can’t trade it for anything. At least, not before I’ve watched it.

RELEASE DATE

The initial release date of this movie was August 2020 but was pushed to February 26 2021, because well, COVID-19 happened. And almost sadly, only a month ahead of its known release date, Universal Pictures announced that “Nobody” had been pushed back, until 2 April, this year.

Thankfully though, patience never killed anyone. And before we know it, we will be making faces of ‘ouch’, damn!!!, WTF????, Holy Crap!! our blood boiling hot from the intensity, from the inside. I promise, “Nobody” is worth the wait. We can’t underestimate it now, can we? Of course not. We can’t.
