Disney revealed a first look promo at their adaptation of another Disneyland adventure, Jungle Cruise. This is based on a theme park ride and is in production. The set video has Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt in costume, gleaming with excitement and making some fun bunter.
There are many other Disney movies made based on their theme parks such as their most successful and most popular; Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, Mission to Mars and the Country Bears
Jungle Cruise is about a boat captain (The Rock) who takes his sister (Emily Blunt) and her brother (Jack Whitehall) on a mission to find a tree believed to possess healing powers. One of the main movie villains might be Edgar Ramirez, who is leading a competing German expedition alongside Jesse Plemons. The movie also casts Paul Giamatti.
The script is written by Michael Green (Logan & Blade Runner 2049), Glenn Ficarra and John Requa from the original one written by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay (Star Trek Beyond). It will be produced by Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, Beau Flynn’s Flynn Picture Co. (San Andreas & Baywatch), John Davis and John Fox from Davis Entertainment.
Jungle Cruise will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and has no confirmed premiere date but there is speculation around sometime in October, 2019. Production begun in May, 2018.
