JJ Abrams fans rejoice, he has produced a Nazi zombie movie, Overlord through his studio Bad Robot. The movie is not a sequel to the Cloverfield franchise as many rumours had mentioned.
“It’s not a Cloverfield movie,” JJ Abrams said in April, “We are actually developing a true, dedicated Cloverfield sequel, which will be coming to you, theaters very soon and it this movie is batsh*t crazy.”
The movie stars Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell and is directed by Julius Avery.
Overlord is a World War II zombie movie that tells the story of American paratroopers shot out of their aeroplane and end up parachuting into occupied France on the eve of D-Day. They come across a secret Nazi lab in a strange house where horrible and weird supernatural experiments were conducted to make the perfect soldier.
Don’t expect them to look like Chris Evans, they are terrible freak zombies that the allied soldiers must overcome in order to stay alive.
J.J. Abrams’ produced horror movie Overlord will have its world premiere at the 2018 Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas which is scheduled to take place from 20 – 27 September, 2018. The director Julius Avery and the cast members will attend the premiere.
Overlord will be released on 9th November, 2018.
