It was a 55th meeting between the two tennis giants, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Prior to this game, Djokovic had won 28 of the 54 encounters leaving Nadal with 26 wins.
Djokovic dominated Nadal right from the beginning with the World No. 1 clearly struggling against the World No. 2 in yet another game on hard court.
Team Serbia had a big crowd cheering the team on and at a moment, the 33-year-old Spanish opponent Nadal was left frustrated and complaining about the crowd. Clearly nothing was going well for the World No. 1 on the day.
