England and the English Premier League find themselves in unfamiliar waters in recent history as they have 6 clubs still in all European competitions as the two biggest competitions enter into the quarter final stages.
In the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, Liverpool and Manchester City are all still in the running for the biggest prize in European football.
While in the UEFA Europa League, two London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are still keeping their chances alive with brilliant performances in their different ties.
Manchester United had to pull off one of the best comebacks in the Champions League this season by defeating Paris Saint Germain by 3 goals to 1 after they had fallen behind in the first leg 2-0 to a rather brilliant PSG.
United’s come back had Belgian Romelu Lukaku international pulling off if not one of his best performances of the season by scoring 2 goals and assisting another.
The Red devils will face off against Spanish giants Barcelona in the quarter finals.
Liverpool went to Germany with so much hope to get passed Jurgen Klopp’s all time enemies Bayern Munich and they got the job done thanks to a thunderous performance by Sadio Mane.
The Reds were very good in their counter attack as this is the style that has worked for them this season unlike the high metal type of football that they played last season. The Anfield side will be hoping that this campaign around they will go all the way and win after failing to go past Real Madrid last season.

Tottenham Hotspurs have not been so lucky in the UEFA Champions league, normally getting knocked out of the last round of 16, however, they have been able to hold their nerves and defeating German side Borussia Dortmund. Spurs will be hoping that they too can win the title given it is the only realistic championship that they are in.
England Champions, Manchester City are still in line to win the one trophy that has eluded them despite all the money that they have invested in securing the UCL title. Etihad this week was all fire with Manchester City putting 7 past German side Shalke 04. Sterling has to be the man that Pep Guardiola is now looking at because of the blistering form that he is enjoying both domestically and on the continent.
Manchester City will hope that they can push all the way to the final and win Europe’s most prized asset that is the UEFA Champions League and get the respect that they so deserve.
