Arguably the busiest team in the transfer window, Chelsea are reported to be interested in making a transfer bid of £75M (UGX 346,823,910,675) for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.
Earlier in June, the London side had been reported to have shown kin interest in signing the midfielder but then the news went cold.
It seems with the German Bundesliga now done and sealed with Bayern Munich winning the title for a record 8th season, Chelsea now fancies their chances yet again to bring the 21-year-old to the Stamford Bridge to play alongside his German compatriot Timo Werner who was signed from RP Leipzig.
With his hugely impressive impact for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring goals and creating opportunities for the team and seeing as he is still 21, Kai Havertz would undoubtedly fit right into the system that Frank Lampard is trying to build at Chelsea.
Chelsea and Lampard have not been shy of making it known that they are rebuilding and all is clear seeing as they have already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
Chelsea hopes to build a stronger team and signing Kai Havertz fits within their plan
Signing Kai Havertz would be a huge statement of intent for Chelsea about their priorities for the 2020/21 campaign as they look to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the English Premier League title.
Chelsea is also reported to be interested in Ben Chilwell who has been impressive for Leicester City and Lampard views him as a player that could add value to his defence.
Emerson and Alonso have not done the job for Lampard as he would have wanted for his system and Ben Chilwell seems like the player that will be able to fit right into his desired system of play which is to attack your opponent while also being cautious of your defensive duties.
