Bukayo Signs New Long Term Deal With Arsenal

Arsenal midfield and makeshift wingback Bukayo Saka has put pen to paper for a new long term deal with the North London club.

Earlier, Mikel Arteta had indicated that he was very certain that Saka would be signing with his team, and today, the player signed a long term deal with the club through which he rose through the ranks.

Arguably the most impactful member of the current Arsenal side, worries were starting to circulate that the Gunners would lose their teenage sensation.

The 18-year-old player made the announcement about him putting pen to paper via his social media account on Twitter much to the delight of the Arsenal faithful who see him as a natural winger with a lot of potentials to continue growing with the club.

“London is my home. Arsenal my team. I’m so happy to finally announce my contract extension.  I love playing for this club and I’m looking forward to what the future holds. The hard work continues so I can continue living my dream God is Great !!” He tweeted 

Arsenal’s technical director Edu said: “This is so important for us as we move forward as a club. This is something everyone involved wanted to happen and we are delighted that Bukayo has signed a new long-term contract.”

“Bukayo is a talented and intelligent young player,” said Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta. “He has impressed me with his work ethic and attitude to learn and adapt, and it has paid off in his performances.

“I am excited to continue working with him to develop him further, and for him to help us achieve our goals.”

Bukayo Saka like Reis Nelson, Joe Willock, Maitland Niles, Hector Bellerin is some of the players that have been able to make through the Youth Academy to play for the senior side.

Bukayo Saka got his opportunity to play for the Gunners senior team when he was called on to play as a left-back following injuries to Sead Kolasniac and Kierran Tierney to which he has been incredible.
