One of the recruits is former UCU Canons player Dikong who finished runners up after losing to the City Oilers in the 2019 finals despite putting on a very spirited fight.
David Dikong, who is brilliant both in defence and offence will join the likes of Syrus Kiviiri who joins from the Betway, Chris Omanye from the Kyambogo Pemba Warriors, Francis Azolibe from defending champions City Oilers and finally Daniel Juuko joins from the JKL Dolphins. They team up with players like Monoja, Sebatindira, and Paul Odong the team captain.
Stephen Nyeko Escodata will be the coach tasked with the challenge of having to deliver the holy grail to Namuwongo and overthrow the 7-time reigning champions City Oilers.
According to Hajji Zinda Farouk, the new partners are a very big welcome to the club and will help them achieve their goals.
“We are grateful to have Motorola and Radio Trans through Samanga Solutions on board. These are partners that have trusted and believed in our organization’s vision in our maiden season in the NBL” He said.
“This partnership presents us with a much-needed boost in our bid to build an exciting team that will give basketball and sports lovers the ultimate satisfaction after losing out on a year without sports” Continued Farouk
When asked about Nam Blazers playing without fans?
“We are going to miss the additional excitement and atmosphere that the fans bring to the game but hopefully they will join us as the season progresses”
“We are excited to be part of the Blazers family. We have closely followed and witnessed this team’s growth for more than two years now and we can all agree that what they have achieved in such a short span is breathtaking.” George Nkya MD Samanga Solutions
“It is therefore very easy for us to align with such an organization that has such great vision. We expect the team to keep growing as it is aligned in their vision and we simply want to contribute to that growth.” He added.
