The Blackview Tab 13 Can Use Internet Without WiFi or SIM Card

As the Android tablet market continues to pick up, a company known for producing rugged devices has unveiled the Blackview Tab 13 which has some exciting features you don’t tend to see often in many devices.

Just like most of its signature products, Blackview takes pride in making devices that are designed to withstand harsh conditions and drops. The same applies to their new Blackview Tab 13 tablet but what makes it stand out isn’t just the rugged features or hardware updates.

Blackview’s latest Android tablets are powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset and are paired with 6GB of RAM that can be expanded to 10GB via its 4GB memory expansion, a feature commonly found in smartphones. Aside from that, they are paired with 128GB of internal storage that is expandable via a micro SD card slot up to 1TB.

However, what makes the Blackview Tab 13 are unique device in its category, is its ability to use the internet without the need for a SIM card or WiFi making it the headline feature of the tablet since it comes with SIMO internet technology support.

Backed by SIMO’s virtual data technology, the Blackview Tab 13 can connect to the internet even without a SIM card or a Wi-Fi network which makes it an ideal device for those who travel a lot and don’t want the stress of switching SIM cards every time they visit a new country.

There’s one drawback to this feature though. Tab 13 supports SIMO 1.0, which is only available in the EU, the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Japan. This means if you’re not anywhere within those locations, you won’t be able to utilise the feature.

However, there’s some good news since Blackview has promised to include SIMO 2.0 support in future Blackview tablets to expand SIM-less connectivity in other countries.

The Blackview Tab 13 is the best option for frequent travellers

Apart from its SIMO internet technology support, Tab 13 comes with a 10.1-inch FHD+ display with protection from blue light exposure, as evidenced by its TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification plus a 13MP dual camera setup on the back and an 8MP front camera.

Blackview also claims that its Tab 13 is the first tablet of its kind to include a PC mode which lets you turn the tablet into a PC allowing you to open multiple app windows simultaneously instead of just the split view option. It should be noted that other tablets manufactured by Huawei and Xiaomi also have their PC mode support.

The tablet will also have the newest Doke OS 3.0 which is independently developed by Blackview and is based on Android 12. The company also claims that it rivals Apple’s own iPadOS 14 (tablet operating system) due to its improved features and capabilities.

Another impressive feature of the Tab 13 is its battery capacity. The tablet packs a large 7,280mAh battery, which is 700mAh bigger than its predecessor. Blackview claims it supports 5.5 hours of gaming, 5.5 hours of video watching, 6.4 hours of web browsing, 16 hours of music playing, 30 hours of calling, and 1080 hours of standby respectively on a single full charge.

You can purchase the Blackview Tab 13 starting today for $150 through the company website.
