Google teased about its upcoming Pixel 7 flagships at the Google I/O event, offering a few details about their next phones and leaving a lot out, with details still very scarce about what is underneath the smartphones.

For starters, we expect the Google Pixel 7 and Pro 7 to be released later this year and both phones will be powered by the next-gen Google Tensor processor with Android 13 OS under the hood.

Google didn’t reveal much about the technical specs or components of the Pixel 7 but it showed off its design, which is quite similar to the Pixel 6 – with it retaining the prominent camera bar. It also comes with a new frame made from recycled aluminium, which now extends seamlessly across the camera bar.

When it comes to cameras, the Pixel 7 will feature two rear cameras while the premium Pixel 7 Pro will get a triple camera array. Both phones are also expected to have the second-gen Tensor chip designed by Google which will enhance a range of including speech recognition, photos, videos and security.

Google also promises a lot of features for the Pixel 7 such as the ability to pair and switch between entertainment devices quickly, plus an extensive array of IoT capabilities when it comes to your smart home devices. Also, according to previous leaks, it’s believed that the new Pixel smartphones will come with a 120Hz AMOLED display and a significant performance boost compared to its recent generation.
