Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio to Ramble Again

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, the  fighters that caused fans to go wild back a few years back are said to be having talks on having another money-spinning rematch in December.

The two former boxing kings went head to head in one the richest fights in boxing history back in 2015 after years of protracted talks which saw Mayweather calling out his rival in front of a record pay-per-view audience.

Mayweather alone earned around $250million from that fight and has since retired after beating Conor McGregor last year. However, reports indicate that the two heavy weights could be set for another ramble in Las Vegas.

According to reports, the talks are in advanced stages and contracts are expected to be sent out this week.

The fight will be set for Decemeber 1st or 8th if all goes according to plan and no issues arise that will lead to the proposed fight being cancelled.

Talk of a possible rematch gathered pace after the two fighters met in Japan earlier this year and had a discussion about a possible fight.

“I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year,” said Mayweather. “Another nine-figure payday on the way.”

Pacquiao, when quizzed on the potential rematch, said recently: “Mayweather? If he decides to go back to boxing then that is the time we are going to call the shots.”

“I have the (WBA “regular” welterweight) belt, so it’s up to him. If he wants to come back in boxing, let’s do a second one.”

Mayweather won all 50 of his professional fights, picking up world titles in five weight classes and becoming the richest fighter in the sport’s history.

Pacquiao, meanwhile, has triumphed in a record eight divisions but was beaten by Mayweather amid complaints of a shoulder injury.

This was during their last fight where Mayweather won by a unanimous  decision and Manny will be hoping that he can have the better of the American when they face off in December.
