According to court revelations, Pirates of the Caribean actor Johnny Depp sent texts to a friend fellow actor Paul Betanny where he was threatening to kill his wife Amber Heard.
In a rage of texts that were read out to the court on Wednesday, it is clear that Hollywood superstar Depp wrote texts that showed that he had intentions of killing Amber Heard.
In November 2013, Depp allegedly sent a text to actor Paul Bettany saying: “Let’s burn Amber.” The same day, he allegedly texted Bettany saying: “Let’s drown her before we burn her!!! I will f–k her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she is dead.”
Both Amber and Johnny have dragged each other to court over acts of domestic violence where Amber once showed her face completely battered by her then-husband Depp while Johnny showed his fingers that were cut off by Amber in a fight.
Johnny Depp is currently embattled in a court libel against the Sun after it published an article in 2018 in which it claimed Depp assaulted Heard. Depp’s previous legal team accidentally shared an archive of 70,000 messages with the Sun’s lawyers.

More of the texts from Depp to Bettany, in which he was referring to a flight, read: “I’m gonna properly stop the booze thing, darling … Drank all night before I picked Amber up to fly to LA, this past Sunday … Ugly, mate …. No food for days … powders … half a bottle of whiskey, a thousand red bull and vodkas, pills, 2 bottles of Champers on a plane and what do you get??? … An angry, aggro Injun in a f–kin’ blackout, screaming obscenities and insulting any f–k who got near …I’m done … I am admittedly too f–ked in the head to spray my rage at the one I love … For little reason, as well I’m too old to be that guy. But, pills are fine!!!”
The Sun has presented the texts as part of their case that Depp was abusive towards Heard, which he denies. The case by the Sun centers on Heard’s claim that the star abused her on a private plane flight in May 2014. Depp’s lawyer’s contention is that they show the opposite.
