Inter Milan Forward Romelu Lukaku has become the first player to score 9 goals in his first 11 matches that he has played for the side. The last person to do this was Ronaldo Nazzario.
The Belgian international who recently joined Inter Milan from Manchester United has enjoyed his stay at the San Siro as he has been scoring goals for Antonio Conte’s side.
Lukaku finds himself in buckets of goals while his former side Manchester United are still struggling with scoring goals during match days.
Romelu Lukaku also already has 2 goals in the UEFA Champions league for Inter Milan.
Lukaku scored his 8th and 9th goal after helping Inter Milan to come from behind to beat Bologna in the Italian Series A match that happened over the weekend.
Playing alongside Luataro, the two have become such a deadly pairing and have given Antonio Conte’s side a good feel infront of goal as they continue to chase to dethrone Juventus from the summit of the league.
In the season in which Ronaldo scored 9 goals in his first 11 games, he went ahead to finish the season with 25 goals, Romelu Lukaku will look to either equal or beat that stat from the Brazilian.
In as much as Lukaku would want to score as many goals as possible to equal or beat the Brazilian, he knows that the most important thing is to help his side to get to the title ahead of rivals Juventus.
The Belgian never repeated the form that saw him net 25 top-flight goals in his final season at Everton after moving to United – but still contributed 27 in all competitions in 2017-18 and 15 last season.
Inter have only lost once at the start of this season, and are keeping pace with Juventus at the top. They sit one point behind the Italian champions and six clear of Roma and Atalanta.
Inter boss Conte has long been an admirer of Lukaku and wanted to sign him as Chelsea boss. The Italian criticised the striker’s fitness earlier this season, but he has been as reliable as ever in front of goal.
Away to Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan are presented with a massive opportunity to seal off qualification from the group right into the group stages and Lukaku will be looked at for inspiration when it comes to getting the goals.
His ability to shake off racism abusive that he was subjected to earlier on in the season to keep scoring goals and guiding Inter Milan in the season is probably such a revelation for him and team-mates.
