The second half of the Formula One (F1) Grand Prix is back this weekend and this weekend, all roads will be leading to the Belgian Grand Prix. This is a track that most drivers love to drive on, fans enjoy watching.
Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Volteri Bottas have already managed 10 and 9 podiums already this campaign with Hamilton winning 8 of those races.
Bottas who will feel very undone by the past two races will hope that the break has been helpful so that his car can be aligned to compete and he adds on to the two races that he has been able to win this season so far.
Red Bull is currently one of the ecstatic teams in the championship as their number one driver Max Verstappen has been able to win Austria and the rainy German Grand Prix.
Verstappen has two wins and 5 podiums so far in the season and many believe that it has been a huge improvement that had been labelled mad Max because of his crashes in the previous season.
The first season did also see Daniel Kvyat make a podium for Torro Rosso in almost a decade and he will be buoyed with the return of the season this weekend.
Ferrari on the hand, have gone from bad to worse after what has been a disaster show this season with the Italian outfit not able to master any win and only managing 11 podiums between the two drivers with Sebastien Vettel mastering 6 while Charles Leclerc who has impressed many managing only 5.
Frenchman Leclerc will pray that Ferrari has worked on the durability issues and power issues that affected him in the first round of the season where he was on course to win the Bahrain Grand Prix only to lose out due to power issues.
Going into this race, Lewis Hamilton is currently leading the chart with 250 points closely followed by his team mateVoltari Bottas with 188 points. Max Verstappen is third on the log with 181 points, Vettel 156 points and Leclerc at 126 points completing the top 5 on the grid.
With 19 podiums and 10 wins, Mercedes lead the constructors’ championship with 438 points while Ferrari who has only 11 podiums with no wins is second with 288 points.
Can Ferrari win something in the second half of the season or it is a case of being completely whitewashed this season by a very organized Mercedes.
