The British and Irish Lions will start with warm-up matches against the at Cape Town stadium. The sharks and the bulls will provide the opposition for the other warm-up fixtures ahead of the test series with an invitational XV and the Springboks of South Africa.
The first and third tests will be played at FNB stadium and the Emirates airline park in Johannesburg respectively.
With the Gallagher Premiership and the Pro 14 season starting late due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic, some British and Irish Lions players will have no break before the tour starts.
In another development, Maro Itoje, who is expected to be the captain to this Lions team for the tour to South Africa next year has committed his future to Saracens despite them playing the championship next season. The Saracens were relegated due to breach of salary cap rules.
