Having joined Manchester City in 2010, Yaya Toure became very instrumental in guiding Manchester City to their first ever League title in over 44 years scoring some of the most crucial goals while providing midfield mastery alongside Silva in the 2011- 2012 season where they had to go all the way to the last game day.

He then continued on to guide the noisy neighbors of Manchester as Sir Alex Ferguson called in the 2013-2014 season to another Premier League title.

Yaya Toure became a darling of the club among the fans and the players and was regarded as one of the leaders in the team.

But the arrival of Spanish manager Pep Guardiola brought instant bad blood between the two and this was seen as the Ivorian International was made to play bits and parts of the entire season.

Toure was many a times not included in the starting line ups and when he was put on the bench, it was not always a guarantee that he would selected to play any time.

This kind of treatment became an issue for the lanky midfield player who enjoys being on the pitch and running from box to box dictating the pace of the game.

On Monday, Yaya Toure made claims that new manager Pep Guardiola is a racist who knows how to hide who he truly is and that the Spaniard is not a big fan of African and black players.

However, looking closely at the players that Pep has used, one will notice that Manchester City this season have been with plenty of black players, Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane, Fabian Delph, Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker among others and when we go all the way back to Bayern Munich, we will realize that one of his most trusted people was Boateng.

At Barcelona, Keita, Eric Abidal, and Dani Alves played huge roles during the days of Pep at the Camp Nou and these players won so many trophies for the Catalan giants.

Whether Pep is a racist manager or not is something that we will debate another day but one thing we are certain of is that if you are good and can make a statement for being selected then the Spaniard will always give you an opportunity.
