While most Leagues break off for the International Break to allow players to represent their national teams, the Uganda Premier League (UPL) which is dominated by local talent returns today with Matchday 14.
At St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende, The Venoms will be hosting The Tax collectors in a tightly contested fixture. Even if they are on form, Vipers have always found a hard time winning against URA F.C during the previous two seasons with their last meeting ending 1-2 in favor of URA F.C.
UPL Coach of October Moses Golola will be without Abdul Karim Watambala, Denis Kiggundu, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Frank “Zaaga” Tumwesigye as he looks forward to continuing his run of good form. The Venoms are unbeaten and lie 16 points out of the reach of their opponents plus they have also only failed to find the back of the net against SC Villa and Onduparaka this season.
The Tax Collectors will look at their newly found combination between Joachim Ojela and Brian Majwega to inspire them past their nemesis for the third time in a row in their visits to Vipers SC. Ojela is a man in form after being involved in 3 goals in several previous games. Head Coach Sam SSimbwa has his squad at full strength so he has all his options to choose from so that they upset The Venoms.
