Emarosa makes a return to the music scene with their new powerful smashing Alt-pop single “Preach” coupled with a video premier that showcases an 80s style plus the band’s signature vocal prowess that has made them a fan favourite.
Right off the bat, the video catches you sort of unprepared, once your ears get caught on the beat, you find yourself totally gripped by Emarosa’s powerful vocals and sound. Their new single Preach feels like a different side of the band yet, they still possess that sparkle we all know about them.
Emarosa fans are definitely going to love this new vibe as it clearly shows that the band is ready to take on anything as they make a return to the alt-pop scene with their dazzling first single since their showstopping 2019 album Peach Club.
The Preach single reminds us that Emarosa isn’t afraid to take on new challenges and still possesses that indisputable talent to create shining pop melodies as they continue to elevate the dance-worthy direction that their fans loved.
The track is a culmination of the band’s experiences over the last three years since their previous release, as the lyrics suggest. The track and music video are the listeners’ first glimpse into what they can expect from the upcoming tracks that the band is preparing to release throughout 2022: some of the strongest ’80s inspired alt-pop songs of Emarosa’s career.
“From the first snare hit to the unabashed MJ ‘ow!’ proclamation, it only takes a moment to realize we’ve doubled down on the pop sensibility we tackled in 2019. The first words of this record, ‘pack it up, love. Nothing lasts forever,” says everything I’ve felt across the last 3 years since Peach Club.
It can all be taken away in a second, you can be at the top and in the blink of an eye you’re at rock bottom. Everyone has an opinion, a stone to throw, they all have something to preach. Just don’t preach to me.” – Bradley Scott, Vocalist of Emarosa.
Emarosa Makes Waves with their New Alt-pop Single Preach
If you think you know Emarosa – think again. Bradley Scott (vocals) and ER White (guitar) have collaborated for nearly a decade to musically transform and energetically renew the group’s vision. They bravely shifted from the hard rock scene and became leaders of the alternative world with their catchy, dreamy, and the wildly successful breakthrough album “Peach Club” in 2019, which soared to claim a top spot on the U.S. Billboard charts upon release and warranted a completely sold out nation-wide tour.
After three years to ensure their next move matched their unforgettable landmark release, the band is poised to introduce their loyal audience to a follow-up worthy of their attention. Combine the influences of pop, synth-wave, alternative, and 80’s hits and you have Emarosa’s upcoming masterpieces.
Their modern glittery pop track “Preach” marks our first glimpse amongst more new singles coming soon via Out of Line Music.
We reached out to the band to ask a few questions about their new profound return to the pop scene and this is what they had to say;
1. Preach feels like the band’s anthem to all the critics out there. Is Emarosa gearing up for a remarkable return?
I can’t stress enough how much you hit the nail on the head. I’d say it’s an anthem for a lot of people, not just the critics. A remarkable return sounds amazing and I can’t speak to that, I’m just happy to be back in the seat and along for the ride. It’s been a long time since we put out our last single, almost 900 days. We’re very overdue.
2. Given the band’s earlier absence from the music scene, what are some of the challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?
I think the pandemic was hard on a lot of the industry, a lot of the entertainment industry. It was too hard for some. I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t a moment I thought about wrapping it up but ultimately ER really pulled me up by my bootstraps and put me back on the horse. Our story wasn’t done and it wasn’t going to be written for us.
We have all faced trials and tribulations the last few years, people grow apart, and your perspective on the future changes. There’s a book that could be written about this band, a very long book. At the end of the day, we had to go to rock bottom and climb our way back. I’m thankful for the journey.
3. With the world recovering from a pandemic, how did it affect the band these last few years?
As I said, it was tough. It was tough for everyone, all of the entertainment. Financially you saw everyone try to figure it out. Fear really took over for a long time there, I saw friends give up music, their priorities changed, and had to steer their life in another direction.
We hadn’t done anything in years, it was very stagnant. When you sit for that long with nothing but time to think, you reflect, you grow, you learn, you change. While it was difficult, it helped evolve this band and we wouldn’t have made this record without that experience.
4. Should the fans expect another album soon or there are several projects on the way?
I don’t want to say “soon”, the album is finished and it’s ready to go but I think we want to focus on pushing a few songs to force attention. It’s easy to skim over an album when it drops, you go to your favourites that hit right away and you might miss a gem. There’s plenty of music coming, it’s just coming in doses.
5. Are there any artists the band would love to collaborate with in the upcoming years?
As a band I’m not sure, there are a lot of artists out there who inspire and are doing something so fresh and exciting. That’s something we’ve rarely done but the door is always open for the right fit.
6. What is the one message the band would like to give to its fans?
Thank you, thank you for waiting 890 days for a new single. Thank you for being there the second we showed up. Thank you for being there through the thick and thin.
