This Thursday the 11th of June, 2020, Sony will release the most anticipated gaming console the PlayStation 5 after they made an announcement on their website today.
In a statement by Sid Shuman Senior Director, SIE Content Communications “Hi all – thanks for being patient and understanding while we rescheduled this PS5 event for Thursday, June 11 at 1 pm Pacific Time / 9 pm BST. We needed to step aside so key voices could be heard during this historic and important time. ”
A reminder that last week, PlayStation was to launch the new console but because of the widespread protests that were as a result of the killing of George Floyd in the US, Sony decided to step aside so that key voices around the world could be heard.
“Now that the event is confirmed for June 11, I wanted to add that this pre-taped program will be broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second. This eased the show’s production process during a time when many of our team and developers are working from home. The games you’ll see on Thursday will look even better when you play them on PS5 with a 4K TV, as you’d expect.” He added
The Communications head also noted the importance for one to listen to the show using headphones to have an amazing experience. “It’s also best if you watch while wearing headphones if you can — there’s some cool audio work in the show, and it might be harder to appreciate if it’s pumped through your phone or laptop speakers. ”
11 June, Sony will release the most anticipated gaming console the PlayStation 5
“We’ve shared technical specifications and shown you the new DualSense wireless controller. But what is a launch without games?” Sid hinted on the fact that new games will be released.
Gamers will get the first look at the games they will be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.
This digital showcase will run for a bit more than an hour and, for the first time, everyone will be virtually experiencing the excitement together. A lack of physical events has given the company an amazing opportunity to think differently and take the users on a journey with the company, and hopefully, closer than ever before.
This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, PlayStation promises to have more to share with the gamers.
