The good: VAR reviews haven’t taken long and have thus the games hasn’t been slowed down.
The bad: It seems to me VAR isn’t always correct. This was evident when Ronaldo, I mean Cristiano Ronaldo (because there’s only one Ronaldo) got away with a yellow card for an elbow in the face of an Iranian player.
2. The never-ending GOAT debate
Ronaldo made a great case with 3 goals against Spain in Portugal’s first game of the tournament. Messi, on the other hand, started slowly but scored a crucial one for the Argentines in their last match of the group stage to secure passage to the last 16.
