The Express captain, Disan Galiwango is on the verge of joining the Star Times Uganda Premier League 2019/2020 Champions Vipers Sports Club.
Galiwango has been on the Uganda Premier league big giants’ radar ever since the league was ended prematurely by FUFA in May, declaring the Vipers as champions of the season.
Clubs like KCCA FC and Wakiso Giants have been pursuing the Red Eagles left-back but all in vain, and it seems the Venoms are going to beat them to prize this coming season.
A close source revealed to us that Disan Galiwango wanted his current employees Express FC to renew his contract for a reasonable amount of money but after that meeting with the Club Chairman Kiwanuka Kenneth and the CEO Isaac Mwesigwa, his requests were not fulfilled.
The Kitende based side have agreed on personal terms with the Express club captain and are closing in on signing him, and hopefully, he’s going to get a much better offer than what his previous clubs wasn’t able to match up.
Disan Galiwango may be joining Vipers SC next season
Galiwango was the Red Eagles best performer last season, scoring 8 goals both in the Star Times Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup, which made him a likely target for many Ugandan clubs.
With no doubt, Disan brings a lot of qualities to the Venoms. His work ethic, leadership skills, and versatility. He can play as left-back and a left-winger depending on how Fred Kajoba will deploy him.
Aziz Kayondo and Farouk Musisi have been inconsistent performers in that position. The former being in the sickbay a lot more than on the pitch. Definitely Galiwango will revitalise the left-back position and bring stiff competition.
Vipers SC is looking sharp in the transfer business and we hope for more new signings.
