Global smartphone brand, Tecno is surely stepping its game this year with several device releases on the way and now, the Tecno Spark Slim is making its way to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 event as the world’s thinnest smartphone.
Tecno announced the Spark Slim as the world’s thinnest smartphone ahead of the MWC event, having only a 5.75 mm thick body frame while featuring two 50 MP cameras and a powerful 5,200 mAh battery.
The sad part about this news is that the Spark Slim is merely just a concept, and there’s no official information available regarding a launch date for the amazing device. Tecno will have demo units at the MWC though we do not expect it to see the market soon.
The Spark Slim boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, a 1224p resolution, and a buttery-smooth 144 Hz refresh rate. It also hits a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and includes a 13 MP front-facing camera. The battery, which is just 4.04 mm thick, supports 45W fast charging. Sure, the camera bump adds a little extra thickness, but overall, this is still a remarkably sleek device.
The Spark Slim Is Tecno’s Thinnest Smartphone Concept

One thing Tecno hasn’t revealed is the chipset. They’ve only mentioned it’ll have an octa-core CPU, but we wouldn’t expect flagship-level performance here. Fitting a high-end chip with the necessary cooling into such a slim design seems like a stretch.
The Spark Slim will be on display at MWC in Barcelona, where attendees will get a closer look at this groundbreaking concept. While it remains uncertain whether the phone will make it to production, its design and innovation demonstrate Tecno’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology.
