Most adults live busy lives, and it can become difficult to balance your needs. Practising your Christian faith helps alleviate that stress and strengthens your bond with God. You must practice your faith daily to stay connected with your spirituality and continue learning and growing with your faith.
1. Begin and End Each Day With a Prayer
Be at peace from the first moment you open your eyes in the morning to when you close them at night. Talking with God and sending up your prayers offer many benefits in your life by giving you a sense of self-awareness. These prayers will set your intentions for the day and allow you to reflect on what you can do differently the next day to get closer to God.
2. Go to Bible Studies
There’s no better way to learn from the Bible than doing it with close friends and having discussions. Surrounding yourself with other members of the church gives you solidarity in your faith and allows you to meet other individuals who practise the same faith as you. Being with other members also holds you accountable for practicing your Christian faith in your daily life.
3. Volunteer With Your Church
Hold yourself more accountable to your values and morals by taking on volunteer opportunities with your church. This builds a strong foundation for what your faith stands for and gives you an outlet to spread the word of God to others. Talk with your church and see what activities and opportunities they have for volunteering.
4. Spend Time in Nature
Take your Bible, daily devotion journal, or some headphones and listen to a sermon while walking through nature—God’s creation. Having a quiet walk while listening to the words of God will help centre yourself on your faith and spirituality.
How do you practice your faith every day? Not every day will look the same, but if you want to strengthen your spirituality, you must practice your Christian faith as often as you can. Continue to implement God into your life in any way possible.
