Times change, presidents change, weather changes, but one thing you can trust that never changes is the urge to get high. Kids today come up with new ways of getting high from the classic smoking of weed or drinking alcohol.
Others have taken the game to another level and doing something known as, ‘boofing alcohol or drugs‘ which apparently is very disturbing once you understand it actually means. For those who don’t know what boofing is, it is the act of putting alcohol or psychoactive drugs like cocaine in one’s rectum. Like I said, disturbing.
In Indonesia, teenagers discovered another way to get high by drinking boiled sanitary pads and tampon juices. Just when you think boofing was bad, then this shows up on the list. Teenage addicts extract and drink juices from used and unused sanitary pads and tampons in order to get high.
The drink is created by boiling the pad for 30 minutes and the liquid is squeezed out into a container. It’s said to have a bitter taste and is reportedly consumed all day by teenagers.
The National Narcotics Agency in Indonesia say it’s the chlorine used to sanitize menstrual products that’s getting kids tipsy, giving them hallucinations and the feeling of fly. For a couple of years, this has been going on and the first incident was reported in 2016 by Indonesian authorities.
As teenagers come up with ways to get high, it begs the question, just how far is one willing to go to get the ultimate high experience? And is it really necessary to go to these extremes?
