UPL record champions Sports Club Villa has announced a partnership deal with re-known city pharmaceuticals supply chain Ecopharm and its subsidiary Aspire Medical Center.
The partnership will see Ecopharm become the club’s Official Medical Partner. Through this partnership, the team will be guaranteed access to treatment of injuries, illnesses, examinations to do away with preventable injuries, and pre-season medicals.
Mr Joseph Kizito, SC Villa Interim Leadership Committee member in charge of PR and Communications said, “The partnership we are starting today is in line with the direction the club is taking and in sync with the core values of our partner which are; professionalism and strategic thinking.”

Registered Sports Club Villa members will enjoy an 8% discount on all Ecopharm/Aspire Medical Centre services,” said the club CEO Mr Shawn Mubiru.
Dr Idd Iwumbwe said, “SC Villa approached us with purpose, being a club reorganizing and looking to reach out to the vast members of the community, SC Villa is a perfect partner for us. We are investing 2.42 billion Uganda Shilling in SC Villa for 5 years.
As part of this deal, club fans will be able to register as members at all Ecopharm and Aspire Medical Center branches all over the country. In addition, registered members will enjoy an 8% discount at all Ecopharm and Aspire locations nationwide.”

Ecopharm is among the leading private chains of pharmacies in Uganda that started its operations in 2008 and now has 15 branches in and around the capital city, Kampala. Its partnership with SC Villa alongside Aspire will ensure that the staff and players are well taken care of when it comes to anything medical.
In view of this partnership, its high time most Ugandan sports teams took on such deals to help secure the future of their sportsmen and women, while at the same time giving back to the community depending on what the deal offers to the table.
