Heathens Signs Mega 330M Sponsorship Deal with Platinum Credits

16-time Uganda Rugby League record winners Heathens Rugby Club have entered a massive 330M sponsorship deal with Platinum credit for 3 years.

The defending champions will match into the new season with much motivation as they enter the season with a massive new sponsorship package.

Heathens signed Uganda Shillings 330M anchor deal with loan company Platinum Credit which will see the name of the club change to Platinum Credit Heathens Rugby football club over the next 3 years. The club will receive the entire sponsorship in cash. That means that the Uganda Rugby League and Uganda Cup champions will receive 110 per season.

Kyadondo Sports club chairman Brian said that the negotiations have been going on for a while now and that behind the scenes they have been working to ensure that a deal that benefits both parties is reached.

According to the Managing Director of Platinum Credits Mr. Albert Abasa, Heathens are a great club and when they discussed us furthering our initial partnership that started at Uganda Shillings 20 million, we could not say no because we knew the value that they were bringing to us as a company.

Brian the chairman of Kyadondo rugby club says this is a huge deal for the club.

“We also partnered with Heathens because of the mentality of the club. You are a winning club, and we appreciate that there will be times when things will be tough.” Said Mr. Abasa “We could do more, and we will do more” Stated Mr. Abasa ahead of the mega deal for the rugby club.

Mr. Abasa, the Managing Director of Platinum Credits asked Heathens to reduce their unbeaten records for the business.

Speaking to the Media, Heathens and Kyadondo Rugby Club captain Michael Wokorach said that this is a great deal for the club and the players and gave assurance that from the side of the players, they will get their side of the business done.

He also thanked Platinum Credit for coming on board as anchor partners. “We want to thank you for coming on board as sponsors of our club. This sponsorship will highly motivate the players to even do more this season and in seasons to come.” He noted

The partnership between Kyadondo Sports Club and Platinum Credits has seen over four players get employed by the loans company which has offered them alternative avenues to make money.

Heathens kickstart their campaign with a visit to title rivals the Stanbic Black Pirates at the Kings Park Arena at Bweyogerere. The Black Pirates finished behind Heathens last season and know that a performance short of a win against the visiting Yellow Machine is non-negotiable.

Heathens have a full house in order as they make their visit to the buoyant Bweyogerere side who are also buzzing with confidence that this season, they will be walking away with some silverware.
