The FA Cup Semi Final Pits 4 teams on Very Contrasting Sides
This weekend will see 4 English teams play each other in the most Historic tournament in English and world football. The ties see two of the teams on the top of the English Premier League take on each other in one semi final while two teams that have been struggling for consistency Arsenal and City take on each other in other.
Tottenham Hotspurs vs Chelsea
Mauricio Pochetino has managed to turn Spurs into a very fluid team and the players are showing signs of hunger for success and there will never be an opportunity as such for them to win a silverware.
Spurs come into this as the most in form team in English team having turned a 14 point league chase to just 4 points and will be hoping to pile more pressure on Chelsea today.
Other stories: Manchester United
Chelsea the English Premier League toppers will be coming today with everything hoping that a win against Spurs can get their season back on track.
For Spurs this is the first step in inflicting so much pain on Conte’s men and will be hoping that this can have an impact on them in league as Spurs try to win their first ever English title in years.
Arsenal vs Manchester City
Tomorrow’s semi final will be putting two teams that had a wonderful start to the season but have crumbled over the last couple of Months with Arsenal registering a mere 3 wins from 8 games.
For Gurdiola this trophy is everything. He has been knocked out of all the other tournaments and in the English Premier League, all that is left for him and the team is to fight for the Champions League spots.
It is the first time in his coaching career that Pep finds himself in real need for a result and to win a trophy. Winning the FA cup will help bring back faith to the Citizen fans.
Arsene Wenger on the other hand, seems to have mastered the art of playing well when everyone least expects him to do so. He and the team come into this game with nothing to lose.
Arsenal have the FA cup success as the only redemption. Manager Wenger will be hoping that Alexis Sanchez and Ozil can inspire the team to win this game.
Never in Arsenal history has Wenger faced so much criticism about his career and the way he does his job and he will be hoping that he gets passed City tomorrow.
This tie will be very tense but I expect Manchester City to win it.
