The Barclays English Premier League Returns

After what was an exhausting but rather oddly entertaining international break, the Barclays English Premier League is back to our screens.

In the early kickoff of the day, we have a mouthwatering encounter when Liverpool visit the Citizens at Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool go into this game after an emphatic win over bitter rivals Arsenal before the break and they welcome back star player Philippe Coutinho from a back injury.

The Brazilian had been rumored to be heading to Barcelona after he handed in his transfer request given that his Brazilian counterpart Neymar had left the Catalans following a world Record transfer deal to PSG. But the Brazilian is now back and should be on the team to face City.

In the second game of the day, a limping Arsenal will be hosting a rather dynamic and unpredictable Bournmouth at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal who were shattered and left clueless by Liverpool at Anfield will be hoping that they can better this game. A loss for the Gunners will put a huge dent into their hopes of competing for the League title.

Many football fans questioned why Wenger benched club record signing Alexander Lacazatte against Liverpool and why he chose to use Bellerin ahead of Sead Kolasniac in the left wing.

Today Arsenal will also be relying on their talisman Alexis Sanchez who failed to secure a move away to Manchester City over the transfer deadline day.

The Chilean posted on his social media page and said ”Am coming home” and manager Wenger believes  his player is more than ready for the challenge now.

Manchester United will be hoping to continue with their 100% start to the season and stay at the top of the log.

United could be welcoming back their Swedish international striker Zlatan Ibrahimović to play alongside an already elite strike force that comprises of Lukaku, Lingard, Martial and Rashford.

Jose Mourinho will not want to take any prisoners when they travel to Stoke City. As he has indicated, each game to him is like a final and he will be hoping that his players turn up the heat today.
