In an interesting turn of events, the Gunners are willing to make the 28-year-old the Premier League’s highest paid player in an attempt to prevent him from joining Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Arsenal willing to break the bank to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez

Paul Pogba who cost Manchester united 89 Million pounds is currently the division’s top earner with his £290,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford.

But it’s now reported that the Gunners are willing to break their wage structure in order to keep the Chilean at the club.

Sanchez will have only a year remaining on his current £130,000-a-week contract with Arsenal by the end of the season, and has not given any indication that he is ready to sign an extension.

The report also claims that Sanchez is yet to respond to Arsenal’s latest proposal, although the offer may prove difficult to finance if the club fail to secure Champions League qualification for next season.

Alexis Sanchez has been frustrated this entire season with the performances of his collegeaues which has resulted in so many rumors regarding his future.

What remains to be seen if he chooses to stay, will Arsenal make heavy investments in the summer to bring in top players that will provide a cutting edge that the Chilean International wants to see at Arsenal.

There are also other reports that Arsene Wenger is having negotiations with majority of the first team squad to discuss their futures and contracts at the club.
