Rumours doing rounds on the World Wide Web seem to suggest that Land Rover could pivot, and give us a sedan. A Range Rover Sedan. This is mostly good news. Some people might find a problem with this, but, it remains mostly a good thing.
Plus, It makes perfect business sense. The industry has become so diverse, you need to be able to trap all your customers without having them seek alternatives from other makers. Loyalists of car brands most times look elsewhere to find what their favourite brand doesn’t offer.Â

This would explain the success Mercedes Benz has had. They cater for everyone. Mercedes has locked down every consumer that is rich enough to afford that class of cars as they make sedans, hatchbacks, estate, SUVs and even, luxury Limousines. They have recently tapped into the pickup/truck consumers with their all-new X Class.Â
Automakers have in the last few years revised their offerings to cater to all types of consumers. Lamborghini makes an SUV now – the URUS. Jeremy Clarkson in his review said the name URUS sounds like a genitourinary disease and it definitely does. Jaguar also makes SUVs now – the very beautiful F Pace. Bentley has the very ugly Bentayga too. Rolls Royce, Aston Martin and Ferrari are also said to be preparing their SUV lineups. So a sedan from Range Rover, why not?Â
