Brazil Get To Revenge On Germany

In 2014, Germany was at the helm of the most vicious teams in world football after they humiliated the Brazilian national team 7 goals to 1 in the FIFA World Cup.

A lot of decisions were called and many players had to resign from the national side while the entire coaching department had to be let go so as to bring in fresh faces. Since then, Brazil have been rebuilding around the 25 year old  Neymar.

For the Brazilians, Neymar is their golden boy who should be leading them to the 2018 FIFA World Cup glory in Russia. But the worst news happened when the play maker suffered an injury to his metatarsal and had to under go surgery later on.

Brazil will be without poster boy Neymar till around June when the tournament is starting.

But having played against Russia and scored 3 goals without conceding any, the belief is that this team can perform without necessarily relying on their injured poster boy.

The likes of Philipe Coutinho, Willian, Paulinho, Douglas Costa, Gabriel Jesus and Firmino have been called up to bring some stability in the gaps that have been left by Neyamr and they have so far delivered.

In an entertaining game played yesterday, Brazil seemed to show that they have gotten better defensively as a unit under new manager Tite.

A one nil win over the Germans and a convincing one at that since Alison was actually called into action by the German forwards is a worthy performance by many standards. Meanwhile, Brazilians back home have their fingers crossed and hope that the national team can start playing the tournament without their injured star.

Tiago Silva was a rock in the heart of the defense

William Borges combined with Gabriel Jesus, gave Brazil the lead in the later stages of the first half leaving some breathing room for Tite and his side.

A lot will be required of the Chelsea midfielder and Manchester City striker during the World Cup in Russia if Brazil are to be considered worthy contenders for the trophy they have managed to win 5 times.
