Most of the arcades in and around Kampala are on a  close down as the owners alongside  the traders simply because of the taxes that have been imposed on them and they believe that they are being cheated by the government that they had interested to help them.

The traders also believe that his they are not being protected by the government. And this has led them to believe that they are to also increase on the fee that they charge the customers simply because they have to also make more money that they are to use for paying the rent that they need to stay on the  market.

This whole scenario is a bit agonizing not only for the traders and the final consumers but also the government which earns from the traders and the arcades. Reports claim that the government is making losses of up to 45 billion shillings a day. There are also other causes to this and its reported that the fake goods being brought into the country are causing all the rift.

Whatever the cause is, the government should work hard to rectify the mess.
